The Bay Area Climate compact is a landmark commitment on the part of the cities of San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland to advance ambitious targets for growing the clean energy economy and safeguarding Bay Area resources.
Our vision is to enable a healthy, safe and globally competitive Bay Area through collaborative action on climate change. Our coordinated efforts will be a model for regional action in California, the nation, and the world.
Creating the Collaborative
We are committed to creating a public-private identity that best serves our region and all of its municipalities, institutions, and communities in helping to meet the state of California's goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We are also dedicated to helping Bay Area communities prepare for and adapt to to the impacts of climate change.
