Rajiv is a technologist at heart, looking to make an impact in the cleantech space after a three decade career in the semiconductor industry. He is an Encore Fellow at BACC, bringing industry experience in program management, business relationship development and stakeholder engagement. Rajiv is well versed in working across organizational boundaries, sorting key issues, decision making and clear messaging.
Rajiv is currently managing a new BACC program “The Silicon Valley EV Opportunity Initiative” – a CEC AB118 sponsored project to assess EV business cluster opportunities and needs, with an emphasis on talent development. Partners on the project include the Leadership Group, Prospect Silicon Valley (San Jose’s new clean-tech demonstration center), NOVA and Work2Future workforce development programs, and others.
Prior to joining BACC, Rajiv was at Intel Corporation in Santa Clara in a diverse array of technical and management positions. Most recently, he served as Program Director in Intel Labs’ University Collaborative Research division where managed all aspects of Intel’s academic collaboration to several academic research centers at top tier universities, both in US and Europe. He holds an M.Sc. degree from Indian Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. degree from Carnegie-Mellon University, both in Physics. Rajiv is technically savvy and a versatile leader especially in an ambiguous environment, with strong facilitation and influencing skills.
