Alison Erlenbach has professional experience spanning sustainability implementation, climate change mitigation, energy policy and business development. She joined BACC in 2012 an Americorp Fellow for the Climate Corps Bay Area program. In her current role, she supports the Next Generation Lighting Program, the Energize Schools Clean Energy Partnership, and PropsectSV’s building and transportation programs.
Before joining BACC, Alison founded Campus Climate Solutions, a company that provides sustainability training and consulting services for higher education institutions. She also served as Co-Director of the non-profit Green Tower Sustainability, an organization providing pro-bono consulting services to environmentally and socially progressive student groups on college campuses around the world. She is also a Business Development Manager for CarbonSolve, a sustainability software provider.
Alison is a Certified Greenhouse Gas Inventory Quantifier, and has a BA in Economics from the University of Florida. As a student she worked for the University of Florida’s Office of Sustainability, was a fellow for the National Wildlife Federation’s Campus Ecology Program and helped to start Gators for a Sustainable Campus. In addition to her work in the higher education sector, Alison has worked as a Global Change Education Program Research Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center, and as an Energy Information Administration Fellow for the U.S. Department of Energy.
